Since 1974, a group of dedicated professional artists in Hamilton, Ontario came together for camaraderie and career development. They adopted the name "Tiger Group" partly to mimic hometown Hamilton's football team, but more for the Eastern concept of the Tiger in the art world.

The inaugaral members were:
Wayne Allen - Stone.wood found object sculptures, philosophical notes
Rick Cook - Classical meets Modern in figurative works
*Conrad Furey - Paintings and sculptures of his Newfoundland roots; folky niaf
Bill Powell - Non traditional approach to watercolors, acrylics, oils
*Gundar Robez - Non traditional approach to stained glass

*Conrad Furey (2008) and Gundar Robez (2004) have passed on and are missed.

Current Tigers are Bill Powell and Rick Cook as well as:
Lesley Cordero - Non objective works in acrylics and mixed media.
Gary Osland - Landscape watercolourist and custom art.
Eric Ranveau - Unique still lifes and scenes, in acrylics.
Allan Zbarauskas - Photography leaps into the "Fine Art" category under his direction.
